SYNOPSIS : rumah di seribu ombak (the house of the thousand waves)

true friendshipno tribes or relegions, the kind of friendsip Yanik, Syamihi and Syamimi have during their childhood in Kaliasem, Singaraja, Bali.
ever since Yanik's heroic act for saving Syamihi from the Temukus town's notorious bully, their froendship voluntarily flourished. Yanik is balienese origin boywhose father left him with his sickly mother. he is brave, high-spirite, sincere, loyal but at times unpredictable. Syamihi and Syamimi, muslim sibling of Sumatera origin raised by treir pious father since their mother and older brother passed away in an accident.
they are two loving kids, with big heart though at times unconfident and indecisive.
at the beginning of their friendship, Yanik often boasts that he lives over the ocean,
where thousandsof waves catch each other. he boasts that one day, he would become a famous surfer.
Samihi can only agree to his best friend's dream since he cannot swim.
this movie unveil the journey of friendship between Yanik, Samihi and Syamimi where they learn to have fun, support, help, care and love towards each other. but even childhood's fridns has it ups and downs.
as fas as Yanik's concerned, their friendship was tarred by an unfortunate incident involving him.
he's a repeated victim of a phedophile and nobody knows this until he told Samihi.
one day, Samihi broke his promise to keep Yanik's dark secter in the means  to protect his best friend from bigger tragedy. but his action backfired and sent a humiliated Yanik and his mother to flee KAliasem without saying goodbye to Samihi and Syamimi.
but best friend forgive. Yanik's retutn to Kaliasem brought them closer and he even taught Samihi how to swim. Samihi deferated his fear for water and found his calling to become a professional surfer,
just like how Yanik would have wanted. along the way Yanik and his mother, dissapeared again leaving Samihi and Syamimi broken hearted. Samihi continues to become a successful surfer hopes to one day meet Yanik again and makes him proud.
so where did YAnik go? will he return to Kaliasem and meet his best friends again?
